UNübersetbares..... ENGLISH ???
Ich sehe und merke es wieder einmal : hier schreiben zweibeiner die vom BERUF des übersetzens (siehe auch inserat auf marktplatz, von donnerstag : "Suche De-En übersetzer..." ) kaum bis null ahnung haben!
Nebst der tatsache, dass diese berufswahl - nach matur - gute 4 jahre abverlangt, wenn man ihn an einer seriösen und anerkannten schule erlernen will, gelten eure bemerkungen und beobachtungen für JEDE "zielsprache", unabhänging von der "ausgangssprache". Immer. Ubersetzen war nie / ist eine wort-zu-wort übetragung von A nach B und dass redewendungen/ausdrücke IMMER mit einer (nationalen) kutur, mentalität (humor!), und sprachreichtum zu tun haben, scheinen vielen zu vergessen.
Dass seit 20-30 jahren "english" (oder das was wir,profi lilnguisten, in Brüssel GLOBISH nennen, ein "global english" welches zwar als kommunikations instrument dient, aber nicht als sprache eingestuft werden kann) überall "praktiziert" und eingesetzt wird macht die sache nicht leichter. Und wer (vorallem... männer!) FRAGT schon sein gesprächspartner, wenn er/sie etwas von diesem "english" (lass sein, in der schweiz, immer öfters en français / en italiano) nicht versteht? Zu hausekann man ja googlen und "leo-en" (besser: linguee und pons) - und stösst dennoch auf erklärungen mit denen er/sie nichts anfangen kann. Weil... kultur und mentalitätsbezogen :-)!
Bei profis anklopfen (www.astti.ch / www.aiic.net) - daran denken aber die wenigsten...
