Art in The Heart.....
The old town of Bern is famous for the arcades and walkways. Many of these feature glass cabinets outside of the shops used to advertise their wares. For Hrdayam rather than advertising the yoga space we decided to create a space for artists to explore the themes of the philosophical teachings of yoga. Sharon Gannon and David Life (the founders of the Jivamukti Yoga method) are both artists. Jivamukti is an integrated practice uniting creativity and philosophy. The opportunity to use this space right outside of Hrdayam to promote art in Bern is an honour.
We are very lucky to have as a friend and regular yoga practitioner the talented Katrin Sperry (www.katrinsperry.ch) who will be curating the vitrine space.
