I really love cooking, I find it therapeutic, especially when I’m feeling stressed, and I love the time and care it takes to make great food. In other words, great food is slow food.

Which brings me perfectly to the Slow Food Market Zürich, starting tomorrow and running until Sunday. Take part in discussions and workshops, or simply sample the innovative creations from over 100 regional and sustainable producers. Whatever you do, though, make sure you take it slow.

What? Another festival? Yes! There’s a second music festival starting on Tuesday, this time profiling contemporary music culture, with a concert every day except Thursday. The Currents Festival features artists from the US and UK, along with a smattering of local talent across several venues. Check out the full programme here.

How many shows this month? To be honest i couldn’t be bothered to count. I got to thirty and then i gave up. What i do know is there is some incredible quality music in the city in the month or March.   As spring springs or is in the process of springing get out there and enjoy some live music.

Why don’t traffic lights ever go swimming?
Because they take too long to change.

Joking aside, i have a definite order of preference for getting around the city: bike, public transport, walking, an, if there really is no other option, car. But i also know that Switzerland is a land of petrolheads, so i started wondering why Zurich’s traffic runs so smoothly. Luckily, my new phone (the iFone∞) has gone beyond eavesdropping on my conversations—it can apparently read my mind. Right on cue, YouTube recommended a video on exactly this topic, revealing some of the clever ways the city keeps traffic flowing. Totally worth a watch and reveals why Zurich's traffic lights really cant go swimming.
