More comedy this week as Comedy Kiss brings the best of English stand-up to the ComedyHaus. This offering features a double headline with English comic Tom Houghton and Dutch-born comedienne Micky Overman, who has taken the UK comedy scene by storm, as well as Italian newcomer Domenico Carbotta. his coming Saturday, Filmpodium will be in a cinematic state of exception as part of the silent film festival. From 3.00 pm until late in the evening, Louis Feuillade’s  spy epic, Tih Minh will be screened as a film marathon, with breaks, cocktails, food and free filter coffee for the late night final stretch included.

Across twelve episodes, the story unfolds on the sun drenched Côte d’Azur, following the adventurer Jacques d’Athys, who, after returning from Indochina, unknowingly possesses a book containing a sensitive secret code and becomes the target of international spies. The film is accompanied by a high calibre ensemble of international musicians, who provide a live score throughout. For this unique, immersive experience for cinema and music lovers, there are 3 x 2 tickets to be won.

If you enjoy trying out new games, this tip is for you. The «Swiss Game Hub» brings together some of Switzerland’s most talented game developers to learn from one another. On the last Wednesday of every month, they host a public game testing event for all skill levels, where you can try out games in development or have your own game tested. Democracy is a bit like my houseplants: fragile and in permanent peril. They’re hard work! Even a day without attention can spell doom. But on the other hand, they’re beautiful—even if I sometimes take them for granted. At this point in history, it’s more important than ever to keep our democratic plants «tended and watered».

Some of these might seem obvious, but here are my tips to stop our hard-fought rights from drying up:

1️⃣ Vote & Take Part
Elections are like a gym membership. No one’s going to get fit for you. You have to show up, lift that civic weight, and feel the burn. Your vote counts—don’t leave it for someone else.

2️⃣ Know How Your Government Works
Government is like IKEA furniture: confusing, complicated, and by the end, you’ve got mysterious leftover pieces. Read the instructions first, or your opinions might collapse faster than that Billy bookcase.

3️⃣ Stay Informed & Fact-Check
So much «news» is shared on social media these days. Before spreading Uncle Robert’s lizard-government conspiracy, check the facts. Multiple sources—even ones you don’t agree with. Four or five reliable sources, and suddenly the picture isn’t so blurry.

4️⃣ Keep In Contact
Politicians love fan mail… or at least pretend to. Call, email, write. Think of it like sending a postcard—only instead of beaches, you’re asking for better public transport. And yes, they still represent you, even if you didn’t vote for them.

5️⃣ Use Your Consumer Power Wisely
Every purchase is a vote. Even that fancy oat-milk latte. Support businesses that match your values and watch your money work harder than your cat.

💡 Be Respectful
Online debates can quickly turn into slanging matches. Only write what you’d say to someone’s face. Focus on shared beliefs and values rather than differences. Changing minds? That’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Stay curious. Stay active. And keep shaking things up (peacefully, of course).
