Let’s get into Advent with some hip hop. This Wednesday, the LA‑born rapper, songwriter and producer Duckwrth is bringing his music back to Exil in Zürich. This year, he’s presenting tracks from his boldest and most emotionally raw work, particularly from his latest acclaimed album, All American F⭐️ckBoy, which was released in April. Zurich is slowly morphing into Christmas mode — the markets are in full swing, the Glühwein is flowing and the fondue is… er… also flowing. As you can probably imagine, there aren’t quite as many shows in December, but there are still plenty worth checking out. So have a browse, wrap up warm and enjoy some live music this month.

Whilst i love direct democracy there are sometimes when the sheer number of issues can be a bit overwhelming. And this weeks referendum is one of those times. National service and enviromental issues dominate the national vote whilst housing and the speed limit occupy the voters in the Canton of Zurich. And as usual, the city votes on a raft of proposals which include changes to voting rules, some new construction and, excitingly, investment in the cycle network. I’ve tried to condense it all as much as i possibly can. Here goes…
