Got a bike gathering dust in the basement? The one nobody rides. The one nobody loves.

Velafrica will give it a new life. The organisation collects unwanted bikes in Switzerland and sends them to Africa, where reliable transport can mean access to work, school and independence. The impact is huge.

Over the next few weeks, they’re making it even easier: if you live on the western side of the lake, they’ll collect your bike from your doorstep. Just check that your postcode is on their list and register by 10 March.

Simple. Practical. A little karmic realignment — and hardly any effort required.

Get those neck muscles ready for a night of fierce Punk as Bogen F hosts Dead Pioneers (US) with support from Bad Assumption (DE). Hailing from Denver, Dead Pioneers deliver a raw, politically charged blend of punk, hardcore, and alternative rock, mixing jagged guitars, pounding drums, and confrontational vocals. Their sound fuses the aggression of early hardcore with rhythmic, almost funk‑infused grooves, creating high‑energy, socially conscious songs that hit as hard lyrically as they do musically.

In March, Silvan Zurbriggen and Luca Nicolai will be providing the daily visual delight for my newsletter. Under the name «opak», the two have been working together for more than ten years.
