With the current weather, what could be better than an outdoor daytime dance? The freezing cold, rain dripping down your neck as you don your sou’wester and dance the day away. Sarcasm aside, the weather forecast for Saturday promises sunshine, even if the temperature is a slightly fresh 16 degrees. You’ll just have to generate some heat by dancing, as Hive invites artists from the Tipping Point Label to whip you into a euphoric frenzy at the SBB Werkstadt. Let's hope it's not tipping it down!

Bonjour, French speakers! French is a language that, sadly, doesn’t get nearly enough love in Zürich — but that’s about to change thanks to Dröle Zürich, a fresh new comedy promoter on a mission to boost French-speaking culture and community through the fine art of making people laugh.

Their first show at ComedyHaus this week is already sold out (quel dommage!), but don’t despair — they’re just getting started. On 9 September, they’re bringing the hilarious Nora Hamzawi to the Volkshaus, and in June, ComedyHaus plays host to the charmant Jérémy Charbonnel.

Have you ever stopped to think about what happens to your empty yoghurt pot? No? Fair enough – it’s not exactly the most gripping thought experiment. But American entrepreneur Eric Hudson did, and he came to the conclusion that those humble little pots deserve a second life. And it turns out he was right: through his company Preserve, Hudson has been recycling various types of plastic waste for over 30 years, transforming them into items like toothbrushes and kitchen utensils.
