Have you noticed how quiet the city is at the moment? Empty trams, empty restaurants – and if you step blindly into the street while staring at your smartphone and wearing noise-cancelling headphones (as someone did in front of me last week), you’ve got better than a fifty percent chance of surviving, thanks to the reduced traffic. Naturally, that’s reflected in this week’s agenda – but there’s still some nice stuff to get up to around town. Have fun.

Since 2019, Moods has been hosting the Solar Festival, which celebrates Brazilian culture in all its forms. This Saturday, they’ll do so again with a multimedia festival that includes performance art, video, and, of course, music.
This edition features traditional sounds from the Amazon with Kayatibu – a band that celebrates the heritage of the Huni Kuin people – as well as the more pop-oriented sound of Aíla. And of course, there’s an after-party featuring techno brega and brega funk. Given the strong Amazonian focus, the festival also puts a firm emphasis on diversity and environmentalism.

We're talking about the Sidefiin Pop-Up. The team has impressed at every location so far – with a menu that’s minimalist yet sophisticated, and service that’s efficient yet warm. Since Sunday, you can book tables for the summer pop-up via their website. It runs from 6 August to 13 September – and tables are always in high demand.

I’m very curious to see how they’ll once again transform the Post Terrace – currently under renovation – into a little oasis. A little bird also told me that this summer, Sidefiin is focusing on a very particular «vegetable» – one that, strictly speaking, isn’t even a vegetable. Can you guess what the menu will be centred around?
