The World Of Digital Forever

Nowness
Like a spa day for your brain cells, Nowness presents a new artistic short film every day. Award-winning directors share exclusive portraits of fascinating people, meditations on society or simply beautiful visual worlds. Visiting Nowness has become a ritual for me and one of the most inspiring moments of my day.

FutureMe
It’s much more than a conversation with yourself. On FutureMe, you write a letter to your future self. Perhaps to manifest a new job. Perhaps because you’ve just had the best day of your life and want to remember it in vivid detail. Or perhaps to remind yourself of some valuable advice you’ve collected along the way. The website stores your letter and sends it to your inbox at a date of your choosing, anywhere between six months and ten years later.

Tunefind
Sometimes the perfect needle drop in your favourite series is so brief that even Shazam can’t identify the brilliant song playing in the background. Tunefind well, finds the tune. The website has meticulously catalogued the soundtracks of thousands of films, television series and video games, helping you identify earworms in seconds. (And so you no longer have to wonder which song accompanies that scene from Bridgerton above: it’s an instrumental cover by Joni Fuller of The Night We Met. You’re welcome.)

Your New To-Do List
To-do lists are usually rather dry affairs. Task. Tick box. Job done. Habitaca. proves there’s another way. The app presents itself as a role-playing game in which you earn experience points and collect items by completing tasks. The weekly planner is clear, the interface intuitive and, depending on your ambitions, Habitica can also help you build new habits. It’s called gamification and it has made my daily life 37% more efficient. Give or take.

Zoo Fighter: Punch’s Last Stand
It’s rare for the internet to agree on anything. But thanks to a series of viral videos, everyone seems to have fallen in love with Punch, the baby monkey at Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan. Rejected by his mother shortly after birth, the little macaque now goes nowhere without his stuffed toy. At first, he was bullied by the other monkeys, but he has since made friends. And if trouble returns, this charming browser game proves that Punch truly lives up to his name.

Digital: Roomstyler
Sofa, table and a “Live, Laugh, Love” wall decal. If that’s not quite enough for you, it might be time to explore Roomstyler. Once logged in, you’ll have thousands of options for designing your dream home as a 3D model and gathering inspiration for your next interior design project. It’s a bit like The Sims — except none of your characters will die because you forgot to put a fence around the swimming pool.
