Last Friday, i asked the German speaking Ronsters for their favourite «Brockis» - you know, the second hand stores where you can pick up everything from furniture to household accessories - and lo and behold, some tips have fluttered into my inbox. From Bern to Graubünden, the whole of Switzerland is represented and as i scrolled through the e mails i came a across a tip that immediately excited me. Which thrift store could it be? It’s definitely on my list of top Brockis.

Chramschopf

My favourite thrift store is definitely the Chramschopf in Zollikerberg! In a building with rustic charm, you’ll find lots of «treasures» – whether clothing, dishes, furniture – really cool stuff.
The Chramschopf is only open on Saturdays, but you can also enjoy a coffee and homemade cake while exchanging ideas with other visitors.
And... all employees are «volunteers,» and the proceeds from selling the goods benefit communities (institutions, organizations, clubs, charities, etc.) in Zollikon and the surrounding area, in Switzerland, and abroad.
