I'm not sure if you are celebrating this end of year, or what you are celebrating, or whom you are celebrating with, but i do want you to know that no matter your plans, the end of the year is an excuse to celebrate. It is called the festive period after all! And oh dear was i surprised to see the abundance of parties our lovely Zurich has to offer in the next days. Slap Christmas in front of anything and you've got yourself the perfect excuse to party, with Christmas salsa, Christmas rave, Christmas concert, Christmas clubbing...get my drift? Now go out and have some fun, i hope you'll have an absolute blast!

Christmas is just around the corner so i know you are in a bit of a hurry. Here’s my quick list of what’s happening.

The weekend starts, (as it so often does,) with a a gig. If you like to jive or lindy-hop or whatever other dances people do to swing music, Helsinki is hosting «the Sheiks» tonight. They are regulars at Helsinki but this time they will feature a guest vocalist and burlesque artist Minouche Von Marabou.

Every country does Christmas slightly differently. In Switzerland Christmas Eve is a predominantly family affair with people gathering for a meal together. But that doesn’t mean you can’t party, (either after or instead of the Christmas eve meal.) Here are my party tips for Christmas Eve.

Nothing more predictable than Christmas, you probably know what you are going to eat, who is coming over, which aunty will have to be carried home after one too many shots of Bailey’s and which nephew will steal the show with his carol singing. So it is time for a surprise! Kir Royal is hosting a special surprise concert, all we know is that it will be «dripping with heavy, romantic urgency». Count me in!

I’m not going to lie I was really hit hard with the freaking cold weather last week and i have been burying my face into my scarf walking down the street. My sustainable fair cashmere scarf that is.
