My year has started with riding my bike, walking, running and generally trying to make myself slimmer and more streamlined. And i am going to try to do the same with the newsletter too. Winter seems to be making a much need re-appearence this week but the events this week are pretty certain to turn the temperature up. Broklyn based band «The Florists» play Bogen F and for lovers of Indie Rock there's a party at Exil. Photobastei host an exhibition from the creator of Alien, H.R. Giger and for the foodies i have a tip for a south American brunch and some fantastic vegan restaurants. Finally, burlesque at Mascotte turns the temperature guage from cold to hot, hot, hot.

Saturday: Rocking out to Indie at Exil.
Sunday: A lovely Peruvian brunch.
Tuesday: A guilt free vegan meal.

What do you think of Veganuary, Sober October or Sleeptember? To be honest, i’m not the greatest fan of and think that it’s perhaps better to live a balanced life the whole year round. However, i love vegan and vegetarian cuisine, so I'm using the upcoming Veganuary weeks as an opportunity to show you my favourite locations from Zurich's vegiverse.

One of my favourite things about strolling round the city is you stumble across all kinds of nice neighbourhood shops. Last weekend i was reacquainted with i shop that i was already familiar with: Betulius & Töchter on Gertrudstrasse. The shop sells a whole variety of food and essential items as well as some nice crockery, postcards and other decorative items. So not only will you find the ingredients for you lunch there, you’ll also find a card and a gift for the dinner you are invited to on the weekend.
