Zurich (EN) : Zurich 20.07.2023: Up, Down & Outside

Good Morning Ronster

Are you enjoying the peace and tranquility of the city? It really is quite a stark contrast to other parts of the year when Zurich seems to be bursting at the seams. And thankfully, (at least as i write this,) we have been spared the scorching heat of other parts of Europe and the rest of the world. That said, it is plenty warm enough and i have a great tip to keep you cool as well as fit. Scroll down to find out more. Have a great weekend and...

Give my love to the city

Festival: Let's Go Rund Again

The world moves around, (or is it a-rund,) the sun one more time and Rundfunk is back. Chill out in the cool courtyard of the Landesmuseum, grab some food, enjoy a goldfish bowl full of gin & tonic and dance the night away to a plethora of DJs. Runkfunk will be there from tonight right the way through to the 2nd of September.

The Best: Air-cooling With 6 Descents In & Around Zurich

It's summer. And it's hot. I know most of you Ronsters like to cool off in the water but air cooling is pretty effective too. And that is why you may have seen me streaking down some of the hills in and around Zurich recently. And i can assure you that it is a lot of fun. In all the tips that follow, you have the option of pedalling up yourself, (no pain, no gain, etc…) or transporting your bike to the starting point by public transport. However, you should be aware that there are some restrictions on transporting your bike. Click the buttons for my 6 best and breeziest descents in and around Zurich.

Out Of Town: Retreating to the mountains

Guys, keep scrolling. Ladies, this is for you.

Life can be hard. Overwhelming. Noisy. Sometimes it’s really hard to keep up. Well, there’s an app for that! Just kidding.

If you’re feeling an urge to get away for a bit and to quiet down all that noise in your head, there’s the perfect opportunity in August to get away from the city. In the beautiful mountains of Trin/Graubünden, holistic coach Laura Sabina will be hosting the Conscious Women Retreat. It’s a chance to relax and recharge while focusing on mind and body wellbeing. There will be yoga classes and breathwork courses (because sometimes it’s not as easy as people make it out to be). You can take workshops in herbal health/knowledge and stress management, or simply relax, sunbathe or go for a hike. And there’s even a personal chef that specialises in plant based cuisine that is gluten/artificial sugar free. There’s a limited amount of spots available, but you can register here aaaaaand 10% off if you sign up with a friend! So grab your equally stressed out buddy and get ready to detox.
