This week is dominated by the Swiss National Day on Tuesday which give us all an extra day off on er… Tuesday. As i mentioned above it's Switzerland's birthday this week but there is some nice gigs to check out and if you are in the mood for a wild night, a bit of a rave.

New Zealand is a loooong way from Zurich but seven musicians are making their way to X-Tra to entertain you. I am talking, of course, about Fat Freddy’s Drop, the Kiwi band that combine funk, reggae and soul psychedelia. It really is a great band so if you can get a ticket check them out.

So, it's that time of year. The clubs are on summer break, so all the concerts are outside. Great! But don't sweat it. i've made a list of all the Openair festivals so you don't miss one. Switzerland + Summer + Festivals = ♥

It’s Switzerland’s birthday on Tuesday so have a «Buure-Zmorge», (It’s a farmers breakfast,) to start the day, grab your alp-horn and cervelat and head for the hills. Oh yeah, don’t forget armfuls of fireworks. If the thought of constant explosions, incessant parping and sausage that look like they have undergone some very weird surgery fills you with dread then i have a couple of nice alternatives for you. They’ll be as wild, (if not more,) as the GIF today.
