As for August, it’s been crazy. I went to the Musikfestwochen in Winti, last weekend i hit the Badenfahrt which was great, (and is still running this weekend if you fancy an excursion,) and i don’t even want to talk, (actually remember,) about Street Parade. And how about the Women's World Cup? A brilliant tournament and massive congratulations to Spain on their first WWC win! What a month but it ain't over yet. Tonights exclusive launch party in The Studio will feature a rather unusual fusion of cuisines: Gaijin chef Dan Shu is providing the toppings for Raffaele Tromiro's «Napulé» pizzas.

If you’re looking for something to do during the week, Los Angeles based rock band Allah Las is playing the Mascotte. With a touch of psychedelic/folk rock, they’ve got something a bit nostalgic about them- a bit of 1960s L.A, with a modern twist. A good summer catch if you can make it over there.

If you’re looking for a new restaurant to try, head over to Alba , which just recently opened its doors in Wiedikon. Their majority of their ingredients are locally sourced, supporting local vendors and suppliers. However, they do import when necessary, mainly from Italy. It’s like the perfect combination: proper Italian food with a Swiss twist (a Swist, if you will). Their pizza uses a sourdough based dough, and you can really taste the fresh-ness. It’s the number one thing i would recommend. And for those of you who love wine, they have a wide selection of both organic or regular wines. And the waiters are not shy in telling you their favourites. From the wines to the food to the waiter, it really was like a slice of Italy in Zurich.

If you’re just looking to have a drink after work, they have a comfortable bar area as well, which serves great cocktails. Bon appetit!
