Well Ronsters, despite some hiccups during the Zurich Openair, i hope you were still able to enjoy yourselves. And speaking of ups and downs, what is up with this weather? After this autumnal break we've had, it's going to get warm again in the next week, so don't put away those Badi cards just yet. Tuesday sees the re-scheduled show of Australian singer Delta Goodrem. Fans of the Australian soap «Neighbours» might have a vague recollection of Delta but since she left the show she’s focused on making music with the singer/songwriter doing her first headline tour of Europe. And lucky for us, Exil is one of the venues she will be visiting.

So, Zurich has said good bye to McGee’s Irish pub across from the Bahnhof Wiedikon, but it welcomes, (with open arms,) the new restaurant, La Catedral . They’re serving up cocktails and Mexican street food and they’re doing it well. While they have a nice variety of wine, beer and even Mexican whiskey, it’s their Mezcal list that will catch your eye. My recommendation? The cocktail called the last word, (and no, it’s not the one you might be thinking of). That, coupled with an order of oblea, (flour tortillas made with butter and salt,) is the perfect experience. But you can check out their whole menu here. They don’t take reservations, so you just have to wing it!

Strewth! Autumn is a time that bands hit the road so there is gigs galore this month and, somewhat unusually, featuring a healthy dose of artists from Australia. Here’s my list of the shows you have to be at this coming September.
