Today i am going to start by mentioning the ads in the newsletter. Alright, what have i got for you this week? A little bit of everything. There's an art fair, a pop-up that encourages you to meet new people, a dance night, some gigs, stand-up comedy and some wise wise words from a wise wise man.

Well it wouldn't be a newsletter from me without a gig for you guys. This week we've got Reuben James, british musician and singer. James seemed destined for music when he began playing the piano at the young age of three. Although, he modestly claims that he doesn't have a natural talent. Although i think we can disagree. He evokes nostalgic R&B sounds, jazz and a hint of funk, infusing it all with a smooth voice. I feel more sophisticated just listening to it. Easy sounds, easy beats.

The words of a philosopher? No, the words of one of the greatest scientists the world has ever known, «relatively» speaking. I am talking of course about the great Albert Einstein. As part of some research for another project i came across a wonderful article from Parade magazine that listed some fifty quotes which as well as being inspirational, demonstrates his wit, humour and creativity.

Pop-ups seem to be… well… popping up all over the place lately. Or maybe i’ve just been paying more attention. Either way, there’s a new one that is emerging onto the scene this month. Emerge ZH is doing something a little bit different. They’re offering a six course menu with a wine pairing (or an alcohol free pairing), but that’s not the interesting part: they encourage you to book only one space for yourself, so that you can meet new people.
