As this newsletter covers the beginning of April it is, of course, my birthday month and i’m going to treat you to a nugget of Ron history. So Ronster, I’m taking you back to where it all began 20 years ago: the Olé Olé Bar. Memories of that night are a bit fuzzy – was I even there? All i know is that, having realised their beery idea for a newsletter, the other two guys i was with are still sitting next to me in the office. Whatever transpired, two decades have come and gone and every day has been a blast so i really can't complain.

But back to Olé Olé: If you go there on the first Wednesday in April (3rd,) today and recite a verse at the bar that includes the words «Ron Shot,» you'll get…guess what? A «Ron Shot.»

It’s Easter weekend and, as usual, the long weekend gives us plenty of time to party, (and perhaps more importantly,) recover. But as we go into April there is a gig to check out and some interesting film.

What is Easter Sunday really all about? For me it is recovering from one of the most massive Saturdays in the calendar year. It’s a wonderful thing being able to party hearty and know you have two full days to recover! Here’s my tips for partying on Saturday night.

Wow! There is a lot gigs happening in town this month. I counted 36 this month and whilst there are a few days where I couldn’t find a show there is more than enough to feed your lovely Ronsters souls. And a great variety too with metal, jazz, trap & rap.
