Sorry for the Freudian slip, but as you Ronsters probably know, I am a massive fan of cycling. Whether for getting to work or for fun on the weekends, I love to jump on my bike as often as the weather allows. So, as you can probably imagine, I am a big fan of Cycle Week, which starts today. As someone who is so «Pro Velo», I decided to find out a little bit more about Switzerland’s cycling pressure group. Scroll down to find out more.

Cycling is just the best. There is no better way of getting around the city and the area around Zurich is a paradise for cyclists with trails and paths for every type of bike and discipline. If you don’t have a bike, want to upgrade or want to watch amazing cyclists or take some tips then Cycle Week is starting today and running through until Sunday. The event is focused on Europaallee and Brunau with many exhibitors and events at both locations. A great opportunity to try before you buy and get some great advice.

Whether it’s the Velobörse, Cycle Week or the monthly «Critical Mass» ride out there is one name that kept coming up: Pro Velo. As it’s Cycle Week i spoke to Pro Velo managing director Yvonne Ehresberger to find out a little bit more about Pro Velo, what’s been happening with Critical Mass and how we can use our «Velos» to make the city a better place.

What would a summer in Zurich be without visiting an open-air cinema? Almost every evening, a film is shown somewhere under the open sky. That's why I've compiled a list of all the open-air cinemas for you, so you can get tickets in time. It includes some new ones and many familiar favourites. I am already looking forward to packing my picnic and watching a film with my friends on a balmy summer night under the open sky. Will it be wonderful? Definitely!
