When i think of gangsters i think of two things. The LA or NY street gangs or the often soft-spoken, sartorially elegant gangsters of the 1930s or east London. British rap duo Pete & Bas definitely falls into the latter category, bringing a retro twist to an established genre. What’s special about them? Firstly, they are both in their 70s and released their first single «Shut Ya Mouth» in 2017. Since then, they have released a whole bunch of records and have even collaborated with T-Pain. And… they’re playing at Dynamo this Tuesday.

I was merrily browsing through the Crowdify platform, as there are always some fascinating projects on there, and the following project caught my eye. Termite-Free House may sound like a pub for the little buggers, but it’s actually a pretty worthy cause, helping to house orphans in Kenya in, guess what, a termite-free house! The project is the work of the LIWA children’s centre, and if you want to assuage some guilt, realign your karma, or if you just plain ol’ have too much money, then give generously and let’s get this project over the line.

Where is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge? The US? Asia?It’s actually in Switzerland in the canton of Valais, (or Wallis, if you prefer.) The Charles Kuonen bridge which is located in the municipality of Randa is a rather impressive 494 meters in length. Let’s put that into perspective. If you stood the bridge upright it’s one and a half times the height of the Empire State building. If you want to get the pulse racing and the knees wobbling then give it a visit.
