I like to keep abreast of developments in the art world but painting with boobs??? Yes, it really is a thing and this weekend Artits Against Breast Cancer, (no, Artits is not a typo,) are presenting an exhibition with paintings that have been created using breasts exclusively. 100% Boobmade will showcase 100 pieces of artwork from 70 artists around the world with proceeds of the exhibition going to breast cancer charities.

Like to laugh? Speak English? Then there is more English Stand Up comedy this Thursday, this time featuring Yugoslavian comedian Pedja Bajovic. Actually, if you are in any doubt about Pedja’s language chops he is also doing a show on Saturday in his native language. As usual, the Comedy Haus has a large line up of stand ups with six other comedians appearing.

Oktoberfest! What a wonderful drunken tradition but, like with so many things, Covid has put paid to a weekend that can only be evidenced by a hole in your bank balance. Never mind, this weekend Kaufleuten are putting on their very own Oktoberfest party. So fill up your «Maß», don your Lederhosen and get ready for a night you almost certainly won’t remember.

Well, on Saturday you can learn more about Zurich’s rich history as Democrats Abroad have arranged for city historian Paul Doolan to show you around. The international acts are slowly creeping back and this Saturday Bogen F are hosting Brighton based Punk/Electronic band «Squid». Squid take their influences from bands such as XTC, Talking Heads and The Fall. Check them out here…

Not in the mood for Punk? Well Kir Royal in the Langstrasse are going more groovy with a show from Zurich's very own Soulmaniacs. Classic tunes from Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind and Fire and Bill Withers are sure to have you shaking your, (as James Brown would say,) «moneymaker».
