Lots of opportunities to shop until you drop this week. Two “Flohmarkt’s” are happening (or starting,) this Thursday. Firstly Jedlitschka Gallery Zurich are hosting a market on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Then, for the hardcore shoppers, there is the Night Flohmarkt at Gonzo.

I love a daytime party. There is something specially beautiful about watching people dancing as the sun sets. This Saturday at 5pm, Club Hard One are inviting you to do just that with their Lemon day dance. Juicy but not sour…

I love a birthday party and Stüba’s, (the cocktail bar just off the Langstrasse,) has come around just at the right time. They’re celebrating their sixth birthday this weekend with cocktails and steak sandwiches. It starts at six if you have the codeword or at ten if you’re not James Bond.

As i was cycling around the city last week i got a nail through my tyre and it occurred to me that i really don’t have any idea how to fix my bike. Well, this week Sportfreunde Zürich are hosting a basic bicycle repair course that may well get you out of the mire if you blow a tire.

I love Street Food. The searing heat through your hands, the sauces dripping onto the beloved shirt/dress/jeans. Joking aside, i do love a street food stall and the main hall of the Zurich main station is going to be home to the Zurich Street Food Park for the next couple of weeks. Yummy.

Finally, my friends at Comedy Kiss are hosing an open mic night at the Impact Hub. Normally Comedy Kiss would be flying people over from the UK but no-one seems to fancy a month of quarantine (for some reason,) so check it out. The price is right (it’s free,) and if you think you’re funny hit them up for a spot.

Pub Crawl? Bar Tour? Whatever you want to call it, i love it. Zurich has a few great opportunities for a bar tour so i thought i’d share a favourite of mine which involves open air terraces, a peaceful stroll away from the traffic and the clear waters flowing by…

As i was out on one of my trips around the city i investigated a small gathering of people near the corner of Luisienstrasse and Neugasse. What do you know, it was the re-opening of Michelle’s Cupcakes. If you are a cake lover then i can recommend a visit. But it’s not just cupcakes that they sell, (and there is vegan options too.) You can grab a cinnamon roll or an amazing ice cream sandwich AND Michelle will do a two for one deal on ice cream sandwiches (Thurs 25th - Sat 27th) if you mention the code word: Ron Loves Cupcakes.
