Concert: Gigs Galore

Tuedsay is a funny old night. There is never usually a lot happening but this Tuesday there is not one, but two great gigs with very different styles.

First up, retro glam rockers The Darkness are playing at the X-Tra. Justin H is taking a break from DJ-ing at the Kater to hit the stage proper.

Secondly, soul artist Hannah Williams & The Affirmations are playing at the Moods jazz club. If you like your music soulful then you’re gonna dig this.

Eating: Popping Up From Kyoto

I’m sure you Ronsters are all familiar with the Dynamo and the Cuchi am Wasser which sits just beneath it. But are you really familiar with the Chuchi am Wasser? If you are then you are in for a shock as monomai.ch are opening a pop up which will run from Friday until Valentines day.

As well as delicious, simple home cooked food (they call it grandmother meals as experienced in Kyoto,) there is a whole host of other events taking place with Japanese lessons, calligraphy lessons and movies.

Their opening will take place this Friday at 7pm with live music, snacks and a DJ until late with no reservation required. A perfect opportunity to give it a try.
