Tomorrow, Saturday is the day! The next Rooftop Day is just around the corner (or rather around the corner and up the stairs). But before we climb onto the rooftops and storm the backyards, there are a few organisational things to clarify:

1. A huge, heartfelt thank you to all of you who have made the Rooftop Day possible. I love you all in deep and special ways. And also a big thank you to Beck's, our beer sponsor this year!

2. Please remember: you’ll be at private locations, and neighbourly courtesy is expected. The organisers decide when the terrace is full, whether they close because of bad weather, etc. But i know you Ronsters are wonderful, georgous people, and there have never been any problems in the past.

3. As last year, there is a map for your smartphone and one for printing. Photos can be uploaded at the Rooftop Day Phototrip or on the Facebook page. You may also link to Instagram. In addition, I'm looking forward to all your impressions, via social media, with #rooftopday.

You can experience a varied day at Ausstellungsstrasse 25: from 9 am to 11 am you can enjoy brunch; from 11 am to 4 pm you can dye and stamp light lunch-paper; from 5 pm - 6 pm there's a tango dance for beginners. After that, food is ready, there is an open-air film, and dancing.

Before you move from one rooftop to the next, with all those heart-pumping stairs, let’s sit down, cross-legged, and take a deep breath (and listen to your heart chakra instead!) The new, stylish Iyengar yoga studio, yoga-im2.ch, has three sessions on the roof of Villa Freieck. Afterwards, there are fresh drinks and a chance to chat. Sign-up here (mandatory, because of limited space), and bring your own mat. (In bad weather the lessons take place in the studio.)

There's even more yoga at Nietengasse. A fresh morning breeze blows in your face as you slowly wake up with sim.yoga, and then at 11am they’ll be serving a vegan lunch ( registration required). In the afternoon, you can chill to some mellow summer tunes, and then at 6 pm, the Hive resident R.EK will be playing a new live set. We recommend light clothes and towels - it gets hot. A grill is available against stomach rumbling.

If you’ve got an urge to do some sports in nature, then the garden at Im Sonnenbühl will be perfect for you. They’ll have a bootcamp session, yoga, World Cup viewing, meditation and an open jam session around the fire (all instruments and players welcome). Of course, there’ll also be time to enjoy the forest, drinks and some healthy snacks. The exact program is on the flyer. 25.- per lesson

A cozy flea market is waiting for you in the garden of Wehntalerstrasse 20. Without getting up early and without the crowds, but with many nice people and special items. If you want a stand, you can register here, Bring your own drinks, if you so desire, but coffee, syrup, beer and Prosecco will be on site.

Bahnhofstrasse also has some nice rooftops. For example, the Blockchain community at Trust Square. They’ll be entertaining you all day with a fine line up of djs, food from Chez Fü and drinks from Gin Fabrik. Sign up here.

On the terrace of the Hiltl Akademie, an exciting presentation will take place on the occasion of Rooftop Day. You’ll learn that you do not have to travel to the Amazon for super-foods, but find many right on your doorstep. Get to know these super-foods to become a super-you.

Herberge zur Heimat is a home to adults who are dependent on assistance during the everyday lives because of an impaired mental state. Rooftop Day is the ideal opportunity to get to know the institution, and its inhabitants, and to enjoy the beautiful view from their terrace with coffee and cakes.

If you prefer the view of Seebahnstrasse from up high rather than down below, you’ll be happy on this terrace. Besides the beautiful road there is also sun, summer drinks and music. A few snacks and a grill will be there, everything else you can bring with you.

While the sweaty, half-naked bodies crowd past each other on river at Unteren Letten, you can enjoy a refreshing breeze on this roof and throw pitying/lustful looks down at them. This rooftop will have local djs Fiat Bux, Fabio Siveriono, Adi Nalin, Chris de Rebel, Basil Bastard and Dainoo providing the soundtrack, while the Bernese fashion label "Costa Pineapples" provides outfits to try on and buy (including a small fashion show). The lovable Charles has also been present at every Rooftop Day. And he always makes things very comfortable. You can relax on a secluded green terrace, with music, grill (bring your own stuff), drinks, beers, and a beautiful view of the Alps.

On the large square behind Waldgarten, the old restaurant turned into a shared flat, a small open-air festival, SchwamenAir, is taking place. Sunbathers, night owls and rooftoppers will all be able to massage their ears and twist their hips to the sounds of a handpicked selection of bands.

Ian Constable, with his Swiss hit ‘ Hippiekacke’, and the Basel dj collective, Alma Negra, are the headliners at this year's Hunzikerfest. And, because it falls on the same day as my Rooftop Day, they’ll also be opening their great roof terrace for our enjoyment. Bless them.

Honestly, it would be hard to imagine a Rooftop Day without La Sause on Bremgartnerstrasse. Their small, but fine, roof terrace is now with us for the fourth time and, as always celebrates electronic music over the rooftops of Wiedikon. Special guests are the Hive resident dj team Gleichschritt, they are framed by Sam Hauser, Vince, Cajöri and Mile. Come early, it's worth it!

I do not know what Korean tacos are, but i want them. You can also get a taste on the terrace of Nägelihof 3. All you have to do is sign up here, and bring a beach towel to relax on. The whole thing is musically framed by some tropical house, a shot of electro and little liquid DnB.

Some called me crazy, but, Rooftop Day has expanded this year to include gardens and courtyards. And I am pleased to say that the courtyard of Hermans Wohnzimmer is a special gem. You can order a delicious wurst on the grill, play table tennis, and cheerfully cheer in the lounge at the World Cup. All accompanied by good music and sunshine.

Open House Zurich - Architecture for All will be opening their private roof terrace in Seefeld for us. On the 100m2 roof you can let your gaze wander over the mountains and lake, and dance to the sounds in your head with a Silent Disco (from 7 pm). For cooling: beer and a small swimming pool (aka the lake), will be close by. Food and drinks (collection) and "Grill for all" are also available and the world cup will be screened in the background.

Usually, the rooftop Trainspotting Sauna at 25hours Hotel is reserved for guests. But on Rooftop Day you can go to the 25hours terrace and watch the trains move in and out with music and drinks.

Put your feet in a refreshing bath and enjoy the wonderful view of Pathumbah Park, while sipping a Prosecco with homemade lavender lemonade. Not that's life! The first twenty guests on the Hammam Basar terrace will also receive a small gift. (Only in dry weather.)

I’m sure you’ve already noticed the outrageously beautiful roof terrace of the Hotel Ambassador, directly on the lake. And yes, the view is just as pretty as you imagine. Rooftop Day will, once again, give you the opportunity to visit it. So reserve your table here. My advice: drop in before sunset and order a rosé stained with mint (this looks pretty good on your Instagram account), and maybe use the hashtags #winning #sunset #lifegoals #rooftopday.

Two events are on the roof of the Migros Provisoriums at Kreuzplatz: From 6 pm you can admire the interdisciplinary art project, Zentrum des Klanges, Rand der Stille, with Soundscapes of cities such as Zagreb, Zurich, Bogotá and Santa Marta are explored and brought into surprising juxtaposition. Then at 9.15 pm the documentary film, Wild Plants, will be shown, which is an exploration of people's associations with plants.

In this garden, you can sit and relax, drinking beer and grilling, while in the container next door, the indie-pop band, Luxus, plays a live set. They’ll also bring a few dj friends to the wilderness of the Wunderkammer, so that the evening lasts even longer. It will be very cozy in the new north of Zurich, with a view of the TV Studio and Heizenholz tower.

Pack your triangle, guitar and wurst - and let’s jam! On a cozy terrace in the backyard, beautifully landscaped, it’ll feel a little like paradise. Especially when the music starts. In addition there is a lot of good food and even more good beer. Before you step into the musical action yourself, the unofficial house band will give a little concert.

The holy trinity for a successful summer evening? Beer, burgers and a boombox, of course. If all this happens on a roof terrace in Kreis 5, then there's nothing standing in the way of happiness.
