That bizaare ray of light you've felt the last week is called sunshine. As we head into our second week of February, it seems the days are getting a wee bit longer and the sun has finally deemed us worthy. And about time, too. The city is a bit more bustling and happening (and is it just me or is everything under construction? New year, new city).

Anyways, a few big days coming up. The Super Bowl is happening Sunday, and of course, it's Valentine's Day on Wednesday! Whether you're going out to a nice dinner with your partner, or ordering take out with your friends (or vice versa?), i've got a few unique ideas of things to do, romantically or platonically. It's time. Vegans can now enjoy the fanciest of the fancy foods (and not even vegans- all of you who find this food a bit... icky?): Tastelab has created a cruelty-free, plant based version of the decadent French delicacy foie gras. Made out of nuts, it's as creamy and full of taste as you would expect. And it can be used in a variety of ways to impress your friends.
