Zurich (EN) : Zurich 14.12.2023: Sake, Scenery & Slopes

Good mornin' Ronster

So here i am, writing to you and stuffing my face with Christmas cookies. You would hardly guess, looking outside, that just last week we were living in a winter wonderland. But that next snowfall can't be far away. Maybe you're packing up skis, snowboards or sleds, getting ready to head into the mountains for the Holidays, or maybe you're staying in the city. Either way, just a reminder, that as Mother Nature herself slows down in the winter, you're allowed to as well. And if, like me, you're running around trying to get some last minute shopping in, don't forget to also take some time for yourself. Remember that old saying while shopping: One for you, one for me. And as always,

Give my love to the city.

Switzerland and Japan - They don’t seem to be the most obvious of bedfellows but i am assured that cheese and sake go together very well. So why not try both at a new pop up called Acrush Izakaya which opened yesterday and will run until the 23rd. They offer a three course, (Fondue,) meal with some delicious sake from Shizuku in a warm and cosy atmosphere.

December is here, the snow is here - and it’s gone again - and very soon Christmas will be here too. Now Christmas can pop out of seemingly nowhere and i don’t want you scrabbling around at the petrol station on 24th December and presenting gifts such as new wiper blades and engine oil. So i’ve come up with a few ideas to give you some inspiration. Click the buttons for all your gifting needs.

There's still a bit of the snow on the ground, and the next snowfall seems to be around the corner. As everyone knows snow means tobogganing, which as everyone also knows, means pure joy, action, some scrapes and bruises, but a lot of good memories. I have tried a few popular spots in and around Zurich for you. Click the buttons for the list.
