Deepdive Music promotes and represents many Swiss bands and tonight at Stall 6 they have a showcase for many of their artists. If the pace of modern life has ravaged your attention and concentration levels then this is the perfect gig for you. Not only does each band get just 15 minutes to impress you, but also the genres range from singer/songwriter to rock to hip-hop. It’s just like a musical bus stop: if you don’t like one band, just wait for 15 minutes and another will come along.

Mooqee has been creating quite a fuss in the UK of late with his genre melting dj sets at the Sugarbeat Club as well as with his own label and mash-up collections called Bomb Strikes. He comes to Revier this Friday, supported by The Funky Spanking, and knowing that he never travels without a bag chock-full of his own remixes and mash-ups this is sure to be an unmissable night of banging surprises.

Blickfang is the international fair for furniture, jewellery and fashion design in Zurich and it opens its doors this weekend at Kongresshaus. It’s a great place to see what young, as well as established design labels are dreaming up and each will have their current collections on show. Blickfang will also have a Fashion Performance by famed Swiss producer Yannick Aellen combining art, fashion and music. Friday to Sunday, 11 am, Kongresshaus

Groovesound, Exil and Volkshaus have put their heads together and come up with a mini-festival for us all.  The line-up has 3 bands and a great dj to end the party. First up are Tim and Puma Mimi, a Swiss/Japanese electro duo who have been around since the birth of the Zurich electro scene. Next is Berlin based Stereo Total, who somehow squeeze chanson, punk rock and electro into their sound. Finally, Vive La Fete, a Belgian electro duo who have ex-dEUS bassist as a member. It’s all wrapped up with a bow on top with a dj set by Solange La Frage. 
Saturday 9 pm, Volkshaus

When they first started out The Horrors, whilst having a couple of good tunes, were essentially the Addams Family with guitars. Whilst this may have appealed to fancy dress aficionados and goths, it was limited. Now back with a colour palette beyond black (they dabble in grey as well) and a psychedelic, ambient 3^rd album they are showing themselves to be much more than just Robert Smith stalkers. They play live at Mascotte on Sunday.
