With the 80’s revival fully underway, The Exploding Boys bring the new wave sounds of The Cure and Joy Division to Dynamo this Thursday.  Although this Swedish band have all the attitude of post-punk, their unique sound embracing acoustic and electronic elements brings them fully into the 21st century.  The after party is gothrocked by djane siouxsira and dj Tom-I.

Charlotte Perriand was one of the most influential furniture designers of the early 20th Century, and if you’ve ever seen tubular steel tables and chairs then you already know her legacy.  She was also a great photographer, using her images to inspire her designs as well as  address many of the social issues of her time. The Museum für Gestaltung are running a retrospective of this amazing womens work until October that is well worth discovering.

Live at Sunset is our local festival featuring A-ha, Nina Hagen and Element of Crime 14-25 July. Zurich's Urban Festival with Xavier Naidoo and 2Raumwohnung takes place on 31 July.  Paléo festival, Nyon is one of the largest festivals with over 120 bands, this year with Archive, Jamiroquai and Iggy and the Stooges, 20-25 July. Up in the mountains, Gampel festival hosts 40 bands in four days with Ash, Die Toten Hosen and Limp Bizkit, 19-22 August. And last but definitely not least, Zurich's large openair with Faithless, Placebo and Belle & Sebastian.
