Well, what a weekend. The Rooftop Day was a success and it even cooled down a bit in the evening! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with me. The party mood continues this week as i’ve got a couple of festivals for you in Seefeld and Albisrieden. But film and music really take the cake with multiple open air movies and out of town musical acts. The Zurich Openair is a few weeks away but you can still get warmed up with the ZOACity festival that takes place at the ice skating rink at the Dolder. This Thursday features US singer songwriter, (and former professional surfer,) Jack Johnson with support from Ziggy Alberts.

As the summer holidays approach and the festival season ramps up, there is not quite as much going on at the gig front as in previous months. And, for some reason, there are a lot of Australian artists. My guess is they're escaping the bitter winters down under. But whether you are an antipodean music fan or not there is still plenty to check out if you need a hit of live music. Here we go…

A night at an open-air cinema should be on everyone’s Zurich bucket list and fortunately there is an open air film shown on almost every evening of the week. To help you chose i have put together a list of all of the open-air cinemas in town. The dates of three of the cinemas are not fixed but i have included them in the hope that they will take place.
