Lost & Found: I believe there must be a parallel universe where all my lost goods are stored. As well as various umbrellas, gloves and shades, I’d find the odd object here and there (such as my TV remote control!). Unfortunately that’s just a fantasy. But in reality, the local authorities are responsible for returning lost items to their rightful owners. Therefore the city of Zurich and the VBZ run a joint lost-and-found office that handles all items found within the municipal region. Unless it’s a key with a serial number, you'll have to go to the so-called Fundbüro in person. SBB goes a step further; go online and describe your lost item and you'll receive an e-mail to tell you if it matches anything that was handed in. If you're too late or if you're just interested in what people lose, visit the shop Fundsachenverkauf in Wollishofen. The shop sells goods lost on public transport from all over Switzerland which haven’t been reclaimed by their owners.
