To be honest fifteen degree days in January scare the daylights out of me and i always enjoy seeing the snow, even if it stays for just a few hours in the city. In the newly opened bar, Late Bloomers, which opened it’s doors in November, Aineias, Vangelis and Stelios create beautiful cocktails behind the bar and the toasts are in Greek. Winter is back with us so a trip up to the mountains is on the cards but i haven't forgotten that it's Chinese New Year. Moods and Zuki provide my live music and dancing fix for the week and what better way to start Sunday than with a relaxing and long brunch. But i still need some warmth and wellness after the weekend so i'm going to hit some of my favourite spas and hammams.

Thursday: Dancing all night at Zukunft.

Saturday: A trip to Laax for the open.
Saturday: Celebrate Chinese New Year at Wunderbox.
Sunday: Brunch by the lake.
Monday: A visit to a favourite hammam.

A Hammam is a Turkish bath and when the weather gets cold i seek out an Oasis of warmth and well being. Thankfully Zurich has quite a few hammams and spa’s and, as i am a generous guy, i’m going to share my favourite hammams and saunas with you today.

Winter feels like it is back with us and i for one love to head to the mountains and enjoy the mountain air, sip a drink or too and slide down the mountain in my own inimitable way although probably not in that order. But this weekend the pro’s will be on the mountain as the Laax Open is taking place. As well as the amazing skills of some of the worlds best snowboarders/skiers there is parties, concerts and an all round great vibe in the many venues dotted about the mountain and the resort. If you are unlucky enough to be bound to the city this weekend then they stream the big events too so you can enjoy them from the sofa.
