Ghost Ship Games Seeks Fan Support for Official Deep Rock Galactic Beer Mugs

Ghost Ship Games is working with fans to launch official Deep Rock Galactic beer mugs through a new crowdfunding campaign. While the game already offers a range of official merchandise, including keychains, stickers, and T-shirts, the upcoming beer mugs are aimed at adding a unique collectible item for fans of the co-op mining game.
Released in 2020, Deep Rock Galactic allows players to explore the perilous alien planet Hoxxes IV, completing mining missions while facing dangerous creatures. One of the game's locations, the Abyss Bar, serves as a hub where players can enjoy a variety of drinks that offer valuable buffs. Fans of the game may soon be able to drink from an Abyss Bar-inspired tankard in real life, thanks to a Kickstarter campaign aimed at bringing official beer mugs to market.
In partnership with collectibles manufacturer Scorched Steel Industry, Ghost Ship Games is hoping to fund the production of the beer mugs through the crowdfunding initiative. The first design available will be based on the Pots O' Gold beer, which boosts gold gain in Deep Rock Galactic. Additional mug designs, including those inspired by Red Rock Blaster, Scull Crusher, and Slayer's Stout, will be released as more funding goals are met. The mugs are made of high-quality food-safe plastic, hold 500 mL (16.9 fl oz), and are dishwasher safe, according to the Kickstarter teaser.
Pricing details for the mugs are not yet available, but the campaign is expected to include extra perks for backers. Fans are encouraged to follow the Kickstarter to receive notifications about the campaign's launch. Scorched Steel Industry has a history of creating Deep Rock Galactic props and statues, including models of alien creatures and the game's iconic space dwarves.

Deep Rock Galactic has been a commercial success, selling over eight million copies since its early access release in 2018. In addition to the beer mug campaign, Ghost Ship Games recently revealed plans to publish Guntouchables, a co-op roguelite with a post-apocalyptic theme. Meanwhile, the current season of Deep Rock Galactic, Drilling Deeper, introduced new content such as enemies and Overclocks, with the latest patch (S05.06) released in October to address bug fixes and gameplay adjustments.
