Last week purple was the colour. This week, the rest of the rainbow joins in as Pride takes over the city. There may be no festival grounds this year, but there’s still plenty happening, from community events and workshops to parties, performances and cultural programmes. The highlight is Saturday’s Pride demonstration, when thousands of people will march through the city centre in celebration of diversity, visibility and equal rights. So join the parade, dance like no one’s watching and soak up the atmosphere.

Pat Metheny is consistently listed among the ten greatest jazz guitarists of all time. Not in the world, mind you. Of all time. An incredible player, innovator and composer, he’s earned three gold records and is the only person to have won ten Grammy Awards in ten different categories. Okay, that’s it. I just wanted to let you know that.

The restaurant celebrates Lebanese cuisine and hospitality with such warmth and authenticity that I’m almost tempted to register it as my second home. Whether you’re after a quick bite or an extravagant mezze feast with friends, Beirut To Go deserves a spot on your summer dining list.

Where should we send the bouquet, 169 West? The Zurich wine and coffee bar picked up two Gold Stars at this year’s Star Wine List of the Year DACH Awards. The prestigious accolades were awarded for Sustainability and for Switzerland’s Best Short Wine List. The international jury was particularly impressed by the venue’s sustainability concept; unfinished wines, for example, are transformed into house-made vinegars. Although I can’t imagine that many bottles remain unfinsihed. The regularly changing selection of natural wines is so good that it's rare that there is so much as a drop left.
