i think you misunderstand part of the problem: pollution ist not directly linked to the population growth but to the use people make of our ressources. there's still room for everyone on this planet, if people start to reflect on real alternatives to the ones that pollutes and destroys our ressources. this has to do with ego, fear, greed,.. so, no need to want to reduce birthrate, just start to improve your way of living in harmony with the nature.

Well, servant, i think there is no need for such a one-child-politics-campagne here in switzerland as swiss women only give birth to 1.5 children on average. And this is fair average compared to the European birth rate.
