FRISK FISK - the epitome of Nordic salmon, fish and seafood delicacies!
Frisk Fisk imports Frederik Möller's refined salmon and other products from the Nordic seas directly to Switzerland without any intermediaries. The best quality and freshness is therefore always guaranteed!
The Norwegian delicacies can not only be enjoyed in the Frisk Fisk restaurant in Zurich, but can also be ordered online or bought in delicatessen stores such as Globus and Markthalle Trivisano.
We are looking for support in the FRISK FISK team as of April 1, 2024 in the position of:
SUSHI-MASTER (m|w|d) 80% - 100%
You are responsible for the preparation, presentation and innovation of sushi offerings and ensure a delicious culinary experience for our guests. You have a deep understanding of sushi techniques, a keen eye for detail and a passion for exceptional taste experiences
YOUR TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Representation of the Frisk Fisk
philosophy
• Joy & fun at work
• Preparing and assembling a variety of sushi dishes, including traditional rolls, sashimi and nigiri
• Ensuring the quality and freshness of all sushi ingredients, monitoring proper storage and handling
• Working with the kitchen team to coordinate the timely delivery of sushi orders
• Creating and introducing new and innovative sushi dishes while maintaining classic favorites
• Monitor sushi ingredient inventory, place orders and manage inventory rotation
• Organizing and conducting sushi master classes
• Training and guiding junior chefs in the preparation and presentation of sushi
• Interacting with customers to give them insights into the sushi offering and fulfill special requests
• Preparing and assembling sushi dishes
• Ensuring the quality and freshness of sushi ingredients
• Create visually appealing and authentic sushi presentations
• Manage and organize the sushi bar or kitchen
• Comply with food safety and hygiene standards
YOUR PROFILE
• You enjoy what you do
• Proven experience as a sushi chef in a renowned restaurant or sushi bar
• In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills and sushi presentation
• Familiarity with a variety of sushi styles and the ability to create visually appealing dishes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Mastery of sushi preparation and knife technique
• Creativity in developing new and unique sushi offerings
• Teamwork and effective communication
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
