Zurich meets Argentina meets trans meets queer meets feminist. It’s all going on at the Picante Festival at Rote Fabrik this Friday. The festival features the headline act Chocolate remix, the voice of the Ni-Una-Menos movement with support from the Zurich rap duo, Olekanone und Nova. Want to dance? Chocolate Remix’s dancers are holding a two hour workshop that’ll get those hips-a-swinging before the concert kicks off.

Good news for anyone who still dreams about Samses dishes, you know the Vegan food project founded by Kati and Ornella. Throughout June, the beloved vegetarian and vegan kitchen is taking over Restaurant Bürgli for a summer pop-up. The pop up will be featuring the classics that built Samses’ loyal following, reimagined in a hearty, home-style and entirely plant-based way. Add a sunny terrace, long evenings and plenty of seasonal flavours, and you have all the ingredients for a perfect summer dinner. Whether you're vegan or simply curious, this is a chance to revisit an old favourite – or discover why so many Zurich foodies have missed it. But be warned – they don’t say when they will be finishing so make sure you get in quick.

In June, the daily Eye Candy comes from Zurich. That’s where Philipp Graf is based – at least physically. Mentally, he feels at home «all over the world», as he told me. With his camera, he is constantly searching for the sensuality of everyday life. The quiet moments we often overlook are captured by this keen observer in his black-and-white photographs.
